Spirit, AVEZ, FATE, LDLC through to DreamHack Masters Spring closed qualifier

The team list of the DreamHack Masters Spring Europe closed qualifier has been finalized after the conclusion of the open qualifier, which saw Spirit, AVEZ, FATE, and LDLC come out on top.

The quartet has joined invited teams OG, FORZE, Virtus.pro, and GODSENT in the closed qualifier, which will run from April 18-20 and will have two spots in the European DreamHack Masters Spring division on offer.

The open qualifier took place on Thursday-Friday, with day one's best-of-one affairs seeing teams like Japaleno, ALTERNATE aTTaX, and Secret eliminated early, while some of the biggest favorites, including Dignitas and Spirit, made it to day two unscathed.

The Swedes followed suit, however, exiting the qualifier at the last hurdle as they conceded the deciding series 0-2 to LDLC, missing out on a key tournament after having disappointed in the first edition of Flashpoint without Håkon "⁠hallzerk⁠" Fjærli.

Meanwhile, FATE beat Wisla Krakow and Espada en route to qualification, AVEZ earned their spot after taking down SAW and Movistar Riders, and Spirit advanced over AGF.
